(the “Site”), operated by Orthodox Virtual Chanter (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using this Site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the Site.

All content, recordings, music, downloadable files and services provided on this Site and through the OVC App are offered in good faith for general informational, spiritual and educational purposes only. Orthodox Virtual Chanter does not guarantee specific worship outcomes, skill improvement, or liturgical proficiency as a result of accessing our resources.

While every effort is made to ensure accuracy and quality, we make no warranties regarding the completeness, reliability or suitability of any information or materials provided.

2. Use of the Website

By using this Site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or are accessing the site under the supervision of a parent or guardian. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.

 

3. Membership, Access Tiers and Payments

Access to certain digital content, including books, guides, music and videos, may require a paid membership plan. Membership benefits, pricing and availability may change from time to time.

Website memberships are processed through the OVC website and related payment providers. In-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions made through the iOS app are processed and managed by Apple/App Store.

Apple subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through the user’s Apple Account subscription settings. OVC does not receive or store full Apple payment card details.

All website transactions are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless stated otherwise. App Store prices may be displayed and processed by Apple according to the user’s Apple Account, storefront and applicable App Store settings.

Due to the nature of digital access and downloadable materials, membership payments are generally final except where required by Australian Consumer Law, applicable platform rules, or other applicable law.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or terminate access to features or content at any time.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including audio recordings, videos, liturgical texts (where permitted), images, graphics, source code, logos and downloadable materials, is the exclusive property of Orthodox Virtual Chanter or its rightful licensors, and is protected by copyright and related intellectual property laws.

You must not reproduce, copy, share, modify, distribute, or republish any content without prior written permission. Unauthorised distribution of files, including sharing outside your membership, may result in termination of access.

 

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Engage in unlawful or harmful activities using this Site or App

  • Attempt to bypass access controls, licensing or membership restrictions

  • Infringe on our intellectual property or that of others

  • Submit false, misleading or defamatory information

  • Interfere with security, performance or integrity of the Site or App

We may suspend or terminate access to users who violate these Terms.

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

9. App Availability and Updates

Access to the OVC App may require installation of updates. We may modify, enhance or remove features at any time. We are not liable for temporary unavailability due to maintenance, changes or external platform requirements (e.g., Google Play, Apple App Store).

10. App Store Terms and Apple EULA

For users who access the OVC App on iOS, Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA) applies unless a separate custom EULA is provided through the App Store.

In-app purchases and subscriptions purchased through the iOS app are processed by Apple and may also be subject to Apple’s applicable terms, policies and subscription management processes.

 

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update or amend these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Site or App indicates acceptance of any changes.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from or relating to this Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
