Code of Conduct & Refund Policy

Last Updated: 25 November 2025

Thank you for supporting Orthodox Virtual Chanter (OVC). This project has involved years of dedicated, self-funded work to develop digital liturgical resources for Orthodox chanters, choirs and faithful. Your support enables us to continue expanding and improving this service.

This policy outlines our approach to cancellations, subscription changes and refund considerations. It applies to both the OVC Website and OVC App subscriptions.

Legal Disclaimer

This Refund Policy provides general guidance only. It does not constitute legal advice. If you require detailed information regarding consumer rights or digital services under Australian law, we encourage you to seek guidance from a qualified legal professional.

Conduct and Behaviour Policy

Orthodox Virtual Chanter is built on respect, reverence and the shared Christian faith of its community.

If a subscribed member engages in behaviour that is inappropriate, offensive or inconsistent with Christian conduct (including hostile, abusive or insulting posts in OVC Groups or elsewhere), their subscription may be cancelled with no refund.

Refund exceptions for such cases are granted only if legitimate compassionate reasons are provided and accepted.

Refunds and Subscription Cancellations

Due to the nature of digital access, granting instant availability to downloadable files, music, videos and restricted-access content, all subscription sales are considered final and non-refundable under normal circumstances.

That said, we aim to remain fair and understanding:

  1. If you wish to cancel your subscription, your decision will be respected. However, no refund will be given.

  2. If you have a special or compassionate reason for requesting a refund, your case will be reviewed individually and a refund may be considered at our sole discretion.

  3. We greatly appreciate your understanding and support as the OVC project continues to grow.

Payment Grace Period

If a subscribed member fails to make a payment by the due date, a 7-day grace period will apply.

During this time, access to exclusive member content may be temporarily limited. After the 7-day period, the subscription may be cancelled.

Reactivation following cancellation may require a new subscription purchase.

Refund Request Process

If you believe you have grounds for a special-case refund request:

  1. Submit your request in writing within 30 calendar days of your purchase or renewal.

  2. Email info@orthodoxvirtualchanter.com), including:

  • Full name

  • Date of purchase/subscription

  • Reason for refund request and any supporting context

We will assess your request and respond via email as promptly as possible.

If a refund is approved, we will determine the amount and form of refund based on the situation.

Right to Decline Requests

We reserve the right to decline refund requests that:

  • Fall outside the conditions of this policy

  • Are not supported by the circumstances of the case

  • Originate from misuse or breach of membership conduct expectations

  • Occur after substantial access to exclusive content has already been provided
